28 Rules for Turning 28

1 The greatest gift you can give someone, is believing in them before they believe in themselves (this is called leadership). ⚡️❤️

2 Use the airport system like the subway system. ✈️

3 I have yet to meet anyone who is single who is satisfied with their dating life: Not the prettiest girl, the richest guy, the most famous or smartest person. The only people I know who are satisfied with their love life are part of a couple that is growing together. 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

4 People are predisposed to depressive thoughts or positive thoughts. If you are the former it's something you need to manage, but it is not your fault. If you are the latter you should feel grateful and check in on your friends. 👬

5 The power of focus on one thing over years is extremely under valued. You get massive exponential returns in years 4, 5, 6 but most people don't stick with it long enough to experience them. 📈

6 Compound growth over time is unstoppable. 22 year old cliff doesn't stand a chance against 27 year old cliff. They both have the same intelligence, but 27 year old cliff has 5 years of 16 hour days with laser focus on self improvement and progress under his belt. No matter how motivated 22 year old cliff is, 27 year old cliff will win. 🧗🏻‍♂️

7 Lead with love: spending a good amount of your time thinking about 'How can I make the lives of those around me better' is one of the most satisfying and powerful methods for leading. ❤️

8 Your siblings will be with you for life. 👬👫

9 You don't need to sacrifice short term happiness or bliss for long term success or gain.

10 You can make your own luck by doing a large volume of work. The probability of you 'getting lucky' goes up exponentially.

11 Hiring is the most important thing you can do for your company.

12 If you want to build a specific muscle (chest, abs, arms) work that muscle every day. 🏋️‍♀️

13 Get a Dexa scan to measure the amount of fat, muscle, and bones in your body. 📊

14 Count your macro nutrients: fat, protein, carbs. Eat 1.3g of protein per lb of body weight. 50-60g of fat, and the rest of your calories to maintain in carbs. Maintenance calories = 4gProtein+4gCarbs+9*gFat. 🍳

15 Live with ppl who are more motivated than you are. 🏠

16 No friends > bad friends

17 Everybody should have a list of goals written out for their loved ones. ✍️

18 Today, in 2022, you can pick your family. The internet can help.

19 Spend more money on others than on yourself.

20 Often subsidizing a younger person to join you on your trip will give you more value than the ticket you get for yourself. ✈️

21 If you carry a $50 bill you'll rarely stand in line or wait to be seated. 💸

22 The most common attribute of all world conquerors… Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Caesar, is Speed… They marched their armies faster, they wrote letters faster, they ate faster. Speed can be primary strategy. ⚡️

23 Make a google sheet, number it 1-100, write the 100 ppl you most admire, write in the columns your scoring from 1 to 10 on the attributes you most care about: leadership, writing ability, artist ability, good heartedness etc… figure out how to acquire the attributes they have that you want to have. ✍️

24 Dancing is one of the best sports to learn, it will keep you fit when you're old, does not require huge knee mobility, it's hard to get injured, & it's crazy fun. 💃

25 Find the best ppl in the world at the skills you admire: specific styles of dance, signing, rapping… DM those ppl and offer to hire them at a price per hour they think is fair to coach you one on one of the skill. 💬

26 Take care of your family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Be their rock. 🪨

27 The freedom of renting is often better than the stability of buying a house. 🏡

28 Spend time thinking about what makes you happy. Write about it, talk to friends about it, read about it. Have a note file that describes what the ideal happiness state is for you and updated it constantly. 📝

Bonus 29 Every time you are on a plane, re-write out your goals. ✈️
